બે ચાર છાંટાથી છીપે, એવી તરસ નથી,
તારે વરસવું હોય તો આકશ મન મૂકીને વરસ.
નાંખ છત્રીને ધરામાં, નિર્વસન થૈને નીકળ,
આવું ચોમાસું ભલા ન આવતું વરસો વરસ.
મઘમઘું હું હેમ થઈને, ઝગમગું સૌરભ બની,
તું મને સ્પર્શે તો મિતવા આવ એ રીતે સ્પર્શ.
કોઈ મારામાં વસે છે, ને શ્વસે છે રાતદિન,
એ મને જોતું સતત પણ ના થાતાં એના દરશ.
અંગ પરથી વસ્ત્ર જળની જેમ સરતાં જાય છે,
કોણ સામે તીર બજવે બાંસુરી એવી સરસ.
સાંકડે મારગ, મદોન્મત્ત હાથણી સામે ખડો,
કાં છૂંદી નાંખે મને કાં મસ્તકે ઢોળે કળશ.
